Physician Bio

Dr. Blumberg is in private practice and is the managing partner of the South Florida Spine Clinic, an integrated multi-disciplinary practice that combines patient education and rehabilitation with advanced diagnostic and surgical techniques for problems of the neck and back.

Born in Miami, Florida, Dr. Blumberg received his medical degree, with research distinction, from the University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. He completed an internship in general surgery at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia, and a residency in orthopaedic surgery, also at the Medical College of Virginia.

Following his residency, Dr. Blumberg completed a fellowship in spine surgery at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital & Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Blumberg is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the North American Spine Society, the Florida Orthopaedic Society and the Caducean Society of Greater Fort Lauderdale, among others.

Dr. Blumberg limits his practice to diseases of the spine. His surgical expertise includes minimally invasive surgery for herniated discs, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis and scoliosis. He performs both lumbar and cervical artificial disc replacement, laminoplasty, kyphoplasty, X-Stop, minimally invasive spinal fusions and decompressions.
