Physician Bio
Dr. Gupta received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and his medical degree from University of Miami Medical School in Miami, FL.
He served as intern and resident in Orthopaedic Surgery at Seton Hall University, Saint Josephs Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. During the final year of his training, Dr. Gupta served as Chief Resident. Additionally, he sub specialized in the field of Sports Medicine and Reconstruction at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD, where he served as the staff physician of the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens, the football team at Morgan State University and the lacrosse team at Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Gupta has presented at many state and national orthopaedic conferences and has several submissions to peer-review journals.
Dr. Gupta is certified as a subspecialist in Sports Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine, and American Arthroscopy Association of North America.
His practice specializes in evaluating and treating sports related injuries through arthroscopic techniques in the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle.
Additionally, his training includes treatment of arthritis through minimally invasive primary joint replacements of the hip, knee, and shoulder. Dr. Gupta also treats trauma related injuries to adults and adolescents.
