Physician Bio
After receiving a B.S. in molecular biochemistry and biophysics from Yale College, magna cum laude, Dr. Shrock received his medical degree from Stanford Medical School. He completed his internship in general surgery at Northwestern University/McGaw Medical Center and his residency at the Harvard/Massachusetts General combined Orthopaedic Residency Program. He then completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine with Douglas Jackson, M.D., past president of both the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Arthroscopy Association of North America.
Dr. Shrock is currently an associate clinical professor at the University of Florida Medical School in Gainesville, Florida, and also at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. Previously, he served as Chief of the Orthopaedic sub-section at Broward General Medical Center. As a 3-time Ivy League and New England All-Around gymnastic champion at Yale, Dr. Shrock currently serves as a staff orthopaedic surgeon for the USA Gymnastics Team.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, Florida Orthopaedic Society, Broward County Orthopaedic Society, Fort Lauderdale Surgical Society and the Broward County Medical Association, among other organizations.
