Rehabilitation is a vital component to orthopedic procedures. Throughout Broward Health, our facilities offer many rehabilitation and therapy programs designed to help you gain back independence.

Located at Broward General Medical Center, the rehabilitation center provides an integrated inpatient program from surgery through rehabilitation.  It includes both group and individual therapy programs. Settings are designed to be more fun and stimulating.  Patients work with a team that includes multi-disciplinary physicians and medical professionals.  Patients also work with coaches – family or volunteers – that we train to help patients with their progress.  It all adds up to speedier, more pain-free recovery. While at the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit North Broward Medical Center, the interdisciplinary team of rehabilitation specialists provide medical management, therapy, education and psychosocial support to patients with a variety of orthopedic and neurological conditions, survivors of traumatic injuries and stroke and those experiencing weakness and decreased self-care skills from other medical interventions. Upon admission to the unit, team members work collaboratively to complete an initial assessment, specifying the patient's individualized treatment plan, rehabilitation goals and projected discharge. The Rehabilitation Services Department at Coral Springs Medical Center is staffed by highly skilled, licensed professionals specializing in physical therapy, occupational therapy,  hand therapy, pediatric therapy  and speech pathology --all offering inpatient and outpatient services to all ages.  In addition, a specialized Sports Medicine Program offers services to those with sports related injuries.

Other programs throughout Broward Health include those located at Imperial Point Medical Center where they treat a variety of patients from the amateur to the professional. Specialty programs include orthopedic rehabilitation and total muscle joint rehabilitation designed to restore individuals to optimal functioning.

At Gold Coast Home Health and Hospice, we offer Rehab ON THE MOVE. Rehabilitation is all about getting back to independence. We are here to assist in making that happen with our interdisciplinary rehab team. Our team consists of specially trained physical, occupational and speech therapists, nurses, social workers, nutritionists, orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists and attending physicians. Our team is led by a Gold Coast rehab case manager who ensures that each patient's program is suited to their individual needs and capabilities.
